Inequality Measures

Inequality is a complex social phenomenon with economic, social, and political implications. It can manifest in various forms and across different dimensions, such as income, education, healthcare, employment, and social status. We at CPAD, using inequality measures/statistical tools to quantify and assess the distribution of resources, wealth, income, or opportunities among individuals or groups within a population depending on context and specific distribution to be analyzed.

Policymakers, researchers, and analysts often use a combination of inequality measures to gain a comprehensive understanding of inequality within/between a society or region. The measures provide different perspectives on inequality, and the choice of a specific measure often depends on the nature of the data and the research question at hand, where we are contributing, supporting and joining hands.
